The Kuwait Red Crescent Society announced today, it has donated ten fully equipped ambulances, including three mobile blood donation vehicles, for the Lebanese Red Cross.
The head of Lebanon mission Dr. Musaed Al-Anzi, said that KRCS started its field activities in Beirut by donating respirators to the Wardia Hospital in Ashrafia suburb, that was severely damaged by the Beirut port explosion and would provide aid to the families hit by the explosion.
He indicated that KRCS has provided respirators, medical equipment, masks and sterile medicines, in coordination with the Lebanese Red Cross. He suggested that the donation of ambulances and blood transfusions were part of the humanitarian contributions of KRCS, especially in the current urgent conditions in Lebanon and the need to give aid and rescue.
He pointed out that the KRCS team was preparing to provide assistance to other hospitals hit by the explosion.
The KRCS had transported by a Kuwaiti Air Force plane 36 tons of medical supplies and hospital equipment to Lebanon, in addition to medicines, surgical supplies and equipment related to the Coronavirus outbreak.
