The King Salman Relief Center concludes a project to distribute food baskets to the forcibly displaced from Myanmar and their host community in Bangladesh

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center concluded a project to secure and distribute 80,000 food baskets for Rohingya refugees and the communities hosting them in the Republic of Bangladesh, which lasted for two months, benefiting 500,000 individuals in Cox’s Bazar, Dhaka, Saidpur, Jusoor, Rajahachi, Chittagong, and Panchasir Island. In cooperation with the Muslim World League.    

During the project, the joint team of the King Salman Relief Center and the Muslim World League reached more than 80 distribution points inside the refugee camps and in various regions of Bangladesh, and the field teams traveled thousands of kilometers to reach the needy and the most needy families in Bangladesh in order to meet the repeated global calls for contribution In alleviating the suffering of refugees, and in support of the UN rapid response plan to their humanitarian crisis.  

The King Salman Relief Center has received many certificates of quality and achievement from the competent authorities to adhere to high levels and standards in implementation, the most important of which is the application of social distancing in most areas of distribution and following the necessary precautionary measures from the Corona pandemic (Covid-19).

The beneficiaries thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God preserve them – for all the generous food aid provided to them that contributed to improving their living conditions, stressing that the arrival of this aid came at the right time given what they suffer under The necessary closure measures due to the Corona pandemic, which increased the difficulties and led to a reduction in the volume of humanitarian giving to them.

This project is an extension of the Saudi hand of giving and benevolence, which included refugees and affected people in all countries of the world.
