With the generous support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the Nutrition Support Project for children under five and pregnant and lactating mothers, in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Taiz, Al Hudaydah, Hadramout, Hajjah, and Marib, continued to provide its medical and nutritional services to 61,584 beneficiaries during the month of August 2021.

13,140 children were screened, 1,230 people were treated for severe acute malnutrition, 2,052 were treated for moderate malnutrition, and 1,603 children were provided with medical services to prevent them from malnutrition, while 7,166 pregnant and lactating mothers were screened, and Providing treatment services to 1,640 beneficiaries, while 9,170 women received IMCI services, 19,895 patients benefited from awareness activities and 5,688 women received counseling.

This comes as an extension of the Kingdom’s humanitarian role represented by the Center to support the needy who suffer from malnutrition in Yemen, and pregnant and lactating mothers, sensing its humanitarian responsibility towards the brotherly Yemeni people and standing with them to alleviate their suffering.
