The Prosthetic Limbs Center project in Seiyun Governorate, with the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, continued to provide its various medical services to the brotherly Yemeni people who lost limbs.
During the month of March 2022, 4,883 services were provided to 446 beneficiaries, 67% of whom were males and 33% females, while the percentage of displaced persons constituted 16% and residents 84% of the total beneficiaries.
The services included the manufacture, installation and rehabilitation of prosthetic limbs for 141 patients, which included the delivery, measurement and maintenance of limbs, and physiotherapy services were provided to 305 beneficiaries, including physical therapy sessions and specialized consultations.
This project is one of the center’s humanitarian interventions with a sustainable impact, and has a significant impact in helping many people to replace their lost limbs, obtain physical therapy, and enable them to integrate into society.
