KRCS hospital in Tripoli, Lebanon

KRCS recognized the significance of the role it undertakes in the field of social responsibility, and invested all means to assume its responsibilities towards Lebanon and stand next to its brotherly people. KRCS’s efforts are at the forefront of relief efforts extended to the Lebanese people, whether in time of prosperity or crisis.

In September 30, 2009, the president of the caretaker government in Lebanon, Fouad Al Seniora, laid down the cornerstone of Al Menia government hospital in north Lebanon, with a donation offered by Kuwait Red Crescent Society worth six million and 500 thousand dollars.

The ceremony was attended by the Society representative, Saad Al Nahed. The Lebanese minister of health, Mohamed Jawad Khalifa, and chairman of the Development and Construction Council, engineer Nabeel Al Jasr.

Al Nahed said “ Kuwait Red Crescent Society Hospital in Tripoli, which is considered as a health benchmark for serving the residents of the area, and an episode of interaction and philanthropy offered by the Society as an expression of the solidarity of the Kuwaiti and Lebanese peoples and their wise governments.”

He said that the hospital includes around 40 beds and equipped with all the required medical equipment’s and furniture, in addition to an outpatient clinic, and departments for emergency, x-ray, operations and intensive care.

It is worth noting that the State of Kuwait built around 12 health facilities in the different areas of Lebanon, including Al Nabatia Government Hospital, Rashia Government Hospital in addition to numerous health centers distributed to the different areas.
