Qatar Charity launched a campaign under the slogan: “I am not just a number” to draw attention to the need to take care of the orphans and provide them with a decent life within the framework of its qualitative initiative “Rufaqa” in 35 countries around the world.
Campaign goal
Media and influencers will participate in this campaign on social media platforms to remind them to take care of orphans and support them to enhance their presence in society.
The campaign seeks to secure sponsorship and comprehensive care for the orphan in education, health, and social aspects, and the recreational and training programs and activities, under the direct supervision of its field offices worldwide.
The campaign highlights the number of orphans, increasing alarmingly, as 10,000 children are added to the lists of orphans daily, while the number of orphans reaches 140 million in the world.
Success stories
The campaign focuses, through its slogan, on that orphans are not just numbers referred to by international reports. Still, instead, they are an important segment of society that has the right to a decent life. Every sponsored orphan represents a success story that needs to be written in its initials through comprehensive sponsorship.
The sponsors of Qatar Charity for the current year, through its
“Campaign to sponsor orphans” initiative, amounted to 24,628 orphans, bringing the total number of those sponsored so far to 4,187,948 orphans, which makes it the largest incubator for orphans around the world.
It is noteworthy that Qatar Charity began its journey in sponsoring orphans decades ago, as part of the social care services it provides, and then launched at the end of 2013 the “Rufaqa” initiative, which is exclusively concerned with the issues of children and orphans, to be an incubator for orphans care around the world.
Its vision focuses on leadership in achieving the concept of Social solidarity in the field of orphan care to serve humanity and achieve sustainable social development.
The Campaign of the Largest Family in the World comprises hundreds of thousands of members, sponsors, employees, supervisors, and organizers as one large family in the world.
It provides comprehensive care for orphans in the health, educational, cultural, and sports fields.
