Typhoon Rai, which took place in the Philippines on December 17, killed 388 people and injured nearly 500. In the country, where approximately 482 thousand houses were damaged due to the typhoon , 60 people are still missing.
After the typhoon disaster, more than 300,000 people settled in evacuation camps in the country and more than 200,000 people migrated to different parts of the Philippines.
Food support for 500 families
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation started relief efforts in the country where food and hygiene packages are needed, as well as shelter areas. In the first phase of the studies, food distribution was made to 500 families in the Cagayan De Oro region of the Philippines.
An average of 20 storms and typhoons affect the Philippines each year.
