Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Nursing Center in the Maldives

Within the framework of the Foundation’s interest in public health and its contribution to the development of health care in the Maldives.. The Foundation provided medical devices and laboratory and diagnostic equipment to the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Nursing Institute at the College of Health Sciences at the National University of Maldives.. This is in support of the human development plans in the In the fields of health and education, and in implementation of the “Telemedicine and Medical Staff Training in the Maldives” project, which was signed by the Foundation with the Government of the Maldives.

The Foundation also ensured the continuation of the education of 10 doctors in the National Academy of Health Sciences in the Democratic Republic of Nepal in a number of medical specialties such as internal medicine, gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics, general surgery and medical engineering to be qualified and have sufficient experience to supervise the “Telemedicine Project in the Maldives” and access to medical staff To an advanced technical level by training a staff of 70 nurses at the “Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Nursing Center” at the College of Health Sciences at the National University of Maldives.

The objectives of the project include raising the level and quality of health care and reducing its costs in the Maldives by obtaining effective clinical medical information in remote locations and transmitting patient information and data to the health care specialist, who in turn transmits the treatment plan again to the patient or staff on site, in addition to upgrading medical and technical cadres and developing Human skills are part of the Foundation’s global initiatives, which aim to finance projects of a sustainable nature that contribute to providing job opportunities in the beneficiary countries and raise the level of basic services, especially in the fields of health and education.
