The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works continues its relief project, which it started some time ago to provide relief to the afflicted in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan due to torrential rains, floods and landslides in a number of northern Afghan provinces.
The Foundation’s team, under the supervision of the State Embassy in Kabul, completed work on the project by distributing relief aid to the needy in Takhar province in the far north of Afghanistan and Baghlan province.
For five consecutive days, the Foundation’s team distributed aid to the needy in Takhar province in the far north of Afghanistan, numbering 2,330 families, in three areas: Ahn Dora, Qoli Taleqan and Taleqan, the center of the province.
The team also distributed humanitarian aid to the needy and affected in Baghlan, numbering 2,330 families, in three locations: “Silo, Anhsarat, and Balkhmeri” districts. The aid included basic foodstuffs in addition to blankets.
The distribution was carried out in coordination with a number of Afghan parliament members, led by Najia Aymaq, the office of the First Vice President of the Republic, Abdul Rashid Dostum, the local authorities and the Ministry of Interior in those two states.
The officials and the Afghan people valued this aid, stressing that it came on time with the onset of the harsh winter season in both states.
Muhammad Farid Zaki, deputy governor of Takhar and members of the Afghan parliament, said that no international or charitable institution had previously distributed this amount of aid.
For his part, His Excellency Juma Al Kaabi, Chargé d’Affairs of the State Embassy in Kabul, said that the project of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works to provide relief to those affected by floods, torrential rains and landslides in the northern states, which benefited 13 thousand and 179 families… The institution carried out on the Afghan arena.
It is worth mentioning that the Foundation’s delegation had distributed 250 shelter tents in the Wilayat of Badakhshan and /200/ tents in the Wilayat of Faryab.
