The Situation and Our Response
Afghanistan has been under siege for as long as we can remember. Its people have rarely known peace. The latest developments in the country expose the people of Afghanistan to grave danger, threatening their lives and any sense of security. Lives truly are at risk.
Human Concern International supports internally displaced people who have left behind their rural towns for city centers with more support. There are more than 270,000 IDPs (internally displaced people), and the figures are rising. Men, women, children, and the elderly need clothing, food, water, and shelter. Some need medical care due to sickness, old age, or injury.
In addition to the deteriorating national security, Afghanistan is facing its second drought in three years while also battling malnutrition in half of all children under five years of age. The reports indicate that 18 million Afghans need assistance which is about 50% of the total population. They urgently need your support.
Your donation means that Human Concern International can offer shelter and safe haven to IDPs and provide them with the resources needed to survive these very difficult circumstances. Donate now and help protect the lives of millions of Afghani men, women, and children.
