amcf.or.id – Situbondo – In East Java, there are not many Social Humanitarian Organizations that have an impact by targeting underprivileged families through the Livable Living House (RTLH) assistance program. Of those few, AMCF is one of them. The Social Foundation, which is headquartered in Jakarta and has a representative office in Malang City, has again built three RTLHs in a series of Humanitarian Convoys in Situbondo Regency. The location targeted by the convoy this time is the Argopura Mountain area, precisely in Plalangan Village, Sumbermalang District.

The construction program for Habitable Residential Houses, which AMCF labels as Rumah Untuk Dhuafa (RUD), has started since June 27 and is targeted to be completed on July 8, 2021. The choice of location of Plalangan Village, not without reason. The determination of this location is a follow-up to directions and instructions from the Head of the Situbondo Regency Social Office in February who had determined Plalangan Village as the location of the East Java AMCF humanitarian convoy in Situbondo Regency.

When met by the East Java AMCF Humanitarian Center Team, Acting Head of the Situbondo Regency Social Office, Samsuri, S.Sos., M.M., expressed his gratitude to AMCF for the distribution of various humanitarian social assistance held in Situbondo Regency. “I as the Head of Social Services and on behalf of the Situbondo Regency Government am very grateful to AMCF for making a real contribution by implementing the House Renovation program as many as three units in Situbondo Regency,” said the Head of the Office who has been appointed since last March. During the meeting, Mr. Samsuri will strive so that the completed house can be inaugurated by the Regent of Situbondo. “I am optimistic that the Regent will be willing to attend the handover and inauguration of RTLH built by AMCF. Hopefully there will be no other agenda at the time of the event,” he added.

In line with the Head of the Situbondo Regency Social Office, the Head of Plalangan Village, Mukhlis Al Amin, S.Pd, also ceaselessly thanked AMCF through members of the AMCF Humanitarian Center Team who carried out the Humanitarian Convoy in his area. He felt happy and grateful, in the midst of a pandemic situation that complicated economic and social life in his region, AMCF went directly to his village to provide various kinds of assistance. According to him, AMCF is the first social organization to develop a Residence for its citizens. “Usually those who provide house renovation assistance in this village from government organizations, such as the Social Service and the TNI, have never been from Social Organizations. This AMCF was the first to provide housing assistance in our village. We are very happy and very grateful to AMCF, “said the man who is usually called Pak Tinggi by his residents.

In addition to the construction of three RTLH units, social humanitarian activities that will be held by AMCF through the East Java Humanitarian Center in Situbondo Regency are the distribution of 100 food packages, the distribution of 200 Qur’an endowments, the distribution of 250 packages of toiletries for children, counseling on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior and Religious Counseling.
