Al Maktoum Foundation concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mohammad bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Dubai SME), During ‘We are with You’ Forum, which was held by the Foundation to help the people with disabilities, integrate them in the community and promote the level of this segment which participates in building this giving country.
The MoU was signed on the behalf of Dubai SME by Said Al Marri, Vice CEO, and on behalf of Al Maktoum Foundation by Mohammed Obaid bin Ghannam, the Secretary-General.
Bin Ghannam explained that the objectives of the MoU include promoting religious, charitable and humanitarian work, to establish, support and manage humanitarian and charitable centers and schools. He stated that both parties will coordinate and form a joint committee to follow up the implementation of the MoU provisions to develop joint programs and activities into practice, as well as reviewing work developments according to this MoU and submitting proposals, recommendations and reports that frame of cooperation between both parties.
According to this agreement, Dubai SME will send invitations to its registered members to participate in the initiatives and activities organized by Al Maktoum Foundation after receiving the official invitation, and make the people with disabilities part of the projects suitable for them, in an endeavor to integrate them in the community and encourage them to take over the business and works available to them.
Bin Ghannam thanked Dubai SME, the main sponsor of ‘We are with You’ Forum which operates under generous guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in supporting the rights of people with disabilities and confirming the care paid by Dubai for them in order to enhance their role in building human capital.
