The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has delivered 2,700 metric tons of dates to the World Food Program in Aden Governorate, to be distributed to 1,785,000 individuals in seven Yemeni governorates, as part of the support of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – To the brotherly Yemeni people.
The Acting Director of the World Food Office in Aden, Muhammad Sheikh, valued the in-kind assistance provided by the center to the needy in Yemen, which arrived at the appropriate time during the blessed month of Ramadan, when the food needs of families are increasing, noting that the distribution process is carried out according to a precise mechanism targeting the deserving.
It is noteworthy that the King Salman Relief Center had launched at the beginning of the current month of Ramadan the distribution of 5,000 tons of dates to 13 Yemeni governorates within the project for distributing dates in Yemen for the year 1443, benefiting more than 600,000 needy families.
This aid comes within the annual Saudi contribution of dates, which is provided to a number of Arab and Islamic countries, including Yemen, through the King Salman Relief Center.
