Kuwait Humanitarian Village

The Society initiated relief in the form of health assistance and construction in the province of Samar, located in eastern Philippines . 297 housing units were constructed and named  Kuwait Humanitarian Village in the Samar province and was handed over on January 29, 2018.

The Philippines was hit by Typhoon Haiyan, which killed more than 6,300 people. Meteorologists have classified the typhoon as one of the strongest tropical cyclones ever recorded.

More than 14.5 million people in six districts and 44 provinces were affected by the typhoon, which the Philippine government estimated at the time the cost of rebuilding affected areas was 170 billion pesos ($ 3.8 billion).
