The Fujairah Charity Association has implemented the (The Wheel of Goodness) initiative in cooperation with the Higher Colleges of Technology and under the auspices of Marvell Investment Company and the contribution of government and private institutions and individuals in the emirate. His Excellency Youssef Al Marshodi, Director of the Fujairah Charity Association, said that the initiative that the association is implementing for the second year in a row aims to collect the largest possible amount of clothes, bags and shoes that are in good condition and whose owners no longer need them, and distribute them to the needy, and the initiative’s outcome since its launch last year has reached nearly 1.5 tons, benefiting 1,000 people inside the country. Al-Marshudi added that the Wheel of Charity initiative this year aims to assist 2,000 beneficiaries, and a wheel of charity bus was provided to collect donations and receive them from institutions and individuals in the community. Al-Marshudi added: In addition to its important humanitarian and charitable dimension, the “Clip of Good” initiative is a sustainable green initiative that contributes to preserving the environment, through its contribution to recycling thousands of tons of clothes and reusing them. Al-Marshudi thanked all contributors to supporting the “Wheel of Goodness” initiative from all segments of society, praising the spirit of solidarity and interdependence that was the basis for the success of the initiative during the past year. He also called on all citizens and residents of Fujairah to continue supporting it and other charitable development initiatives adopted by the Fujairah Charity Association. Al-Marshudi said: The association set the value of the sacrifice at 550 dirhams inside the country and 400 dirhams outside the country, while the value of the Eid clothing for orphans is 500 dirhams, and the fruit basket is 150 dirhams. He explained that the association, in order to facilitate the donors, provides its representatives in more than (24) locations in various regions of Fujairah, in addition to identifying five slaughterhouses for slaughtering the sacrificial animals in the emirate (Fujairah – Masafi – Murbah – Dibba – Bidiyah). Boxes of cork with ice were also allocated to preserve the sacrifice. It is delivered chilled to the beneficiaries according to food safety procedures, and it is also possible to contribute to the project easily and conveniently through the website of the association. Al-Marshudi stressed the association’s keenness to help benefactors deliver their sacrifices to those who deserve it, indicating that the electronic channels of the association are open to receive all donations targeting needy families and orphans.
